FAQ's
What is echinacea?
Echinacea, a cluster of herbaceous flowering plants belonging to the daisy family, is indigenous to North America. Recognized for its distinctive spiky petals encircling a cone-shaped center, it is also commonly referred to as the "coneflower." With a historical presence in traditional medicine dating back centuries, echinacea has served as a means to enhance the immune system, combat infections, and relieve pain and inflammation.
How does echinacea work?
Echinacea is thought to enhance the immune system by promoting the stimulation of white blood cell production and bolstering the body's innate defense mechanisms. This may provide relief from common ailments such as the cold, flu, nasal congestion, and sore throat, facilitating a swifter recovery. Moreover, it is acknowledged for its role as a natural reservoir of antioxidants, which play a crucial part in neutralizing harmful free radicals, thereby contributing to improved overall health and well-being.
Can you take echinacea every day?
Taking one capsule of 500 mg at the onset of any signs of infection is recommended. However, if considering use beyond eight weeks, it's advisable to consult a healthcare practitioner.
What does a 10:1 echinacea extract mean?
The amounts of extracts are listed in two different formats: the amount of an ingredient and the quantity crude equivalent (or QCE). The ratio is of the extract meaning that for every X grams (or mg) of a certain extract to be produced, it takes X grams (or mg) of the raw/unprocessed ingredient. In this case, it means that for every 1 mg of echinacea extract, it is equivalent to 10 mg of raw or unprocessed echinacea.

Seems to work. Hard to tell with any supplement.

I use these when I had bad case of the flu. In combination with other supplements they always work to shorten the flu for me .
