Amur corktree bark, also known as Phellodendron amurense, is the bark of a deciduous tree native to China, Korea, and Japan. The bark of the Amur corktree has been used for medicinal purposes in traditional Chinese and Korean medicine for centuries. The bark contains several bioactive compounds, including berberine, which is believed to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. It has also been used to reduce cortisol (a stress hormone) and reduce feelings of stress.
